Hiieko completed work at the Acino Põlva pharmaceutical factory, where our task was to modernize the heating, cooling, and ventilation systems of the production rooms. We also partially renovated the water and sewage systems.
The goal of the system upgrades for Acino is to ensure the delivery of high-quality pharmaceuticals to customers, improve energy efficiency in production operations, reduce environmental impact, and lower the carbon footprint.
All old equipment, pipes, end elements, etc., were dismantled, and new ones were installed. Since the internal climate of the pharmaceutical production rooms must meet very strict requirements for temperature, humidity, pressure, and cleanliness, this was a highly demanding project for us as well.
We installed a Wolf ventilation unit, Condair humidifiers, Daikin chiller, Cotes dehumidifier, and Systemair fans.
To minimize production downtime at Acino, we planned a significant amount of work within a short time window. The technical complexity was increased by the need to fit the new technical systems into the existing available space, so that the client could continue their core activities in the same-sized area as before.
The main contractor for the renovation works and demolition was Tartu Ehitus. The new technical systems were built by Hiieko in collaboration with our trusted supply partners ETS Nord, Lindab, Metaline, Onninen, Systemair, EB Thermi, Wolf, and Airwave.
