Hiieko Built the Ventilation and Cooling System for Meelespea Kindergarten

HIIEKO built the ventilation and cooling system for the Meelespea Kindergarten in Tallinn. The system will supply the modern building with fresh air in an energy-efficient way and ensure an optimal indoor climate for learning.

The main contractor for this project is Nordlin Ehitus, and the work was commissioned by the Tallinn City Property Department. The new building is unique in that a swimming pool and a salt chamber, along with their service rooms, are planned for the basement floor — requiring a separate ventilation system. The building also includes a sensory room, a teaching kitchen, and a ceramics workshop; the outdoor area offers children both physical activity and educational opportunities.

Kaido Vainola, Project Manager for Real Estate Development at the Tallinn City Property Department:
“For the new Meelespea Kindergarten building, it was important to ensure a modern and energy-efficient indoor climate that provides the best conditions for children to learn and for staff to work. Hiieko AS has contributed professionally to the installation of the ventilation and cooling systems, and thanks to their work, the building is equipped with solutions that support both comfort and sustainability. We thank them for their cooperation and value this partner who helps our educational institutions meet contemporary standards.”

Among the modern ventilation solutions used are automation systems that measure carbon dioxide levels in the room and intensify ventilation as needed, as well as a kitchen hood with an ozonator, which eliminates fire hazards and significantly simplifies maintenance.

Special thanks to our valued suppliers: Systemair, EB Therm, Airexa, Hüdrotehnika, Hekamerk, ETS Nord, Metaline, Meital, BVT Partners, Airwave, and others.

We began our work at the end of February, and the Hiieko installation is now complete. Many thanks to the client, the main contractor, and the suppliers for the smooth cooperation!
